Custom Bayonet shaped Annulotomy Knife

The Annulotomy (Micordiscectomy) Knife is a single use, sheathed scalpel.  The length and bayonet shape assist the surgeon in both open and MIS procedures.  It can be used for any surgical procedure where reach and visualization are problematic.

The sliding sheath makes this device unique in the marketplace.  Some competitive products provide a sliding blade, and others may not have a protective sheath.  The Spinus Knife protects the patient, surgeons , and staff from inadvertent cuts.  Further, the sheath is blackened to avoid reflective glare.

The unique handle design offers the surgeon superior tactile feedback.  Many surgeons wear two pairs of gloves while manipulating a small blade nearly a foot away from where the knife is gripped.  Under these circumstances, a smooth handle provides very little tactile sensation.  The Spinus knife handle enhances the surgeons appreciation of the difference between tissue and bone. 

The overall bayonet shape further enhances the surgical experience by removing the surgeons hand from the line of sight, providing better visualization.
